Life in Pink: A Kristen Collection Inspiration

La vie en rose literally translates to “life in pink”. However, it would be better translated to experiencing life through rosy pink glasses. The idea is to depict a state where everything appears rosy and cheerful to you. It’s about a state of bliss when everything around you is a source of joy. 

The paragraph above describes the way in which I experience life. In other words, I choose to see things in a positive light. My favorite scripture is Philippians 4:8:

“Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.”

God placed a dream in my heart to make dolls. When I was a little girl, my favorite gift from my grandmother was a very special doll named Ginger. She had big green eyes, curly hair, and she was made out of porcelain.

This dream made my heart glow inside and I was so excited to share it with my best friend, who during this time asked me to write children’s books with her. When I shared it with her, she smiled and suggested that we combine the books and dolls into a beautiful gift for little girls to treasure. It was one of those moments where I had no other choice but to realize that this is not just a good thing, but a God thing.

I would like to inspire girls through these books and dolls to draw closer to their King. My prayer for them is to become anointed followers of Christ. At the same moment, I wish that girls would have a very special, sweet connection and relationship with their mom. My mom is my best friend. I can honestly say that this relationship is my sweetest treasure. I hope that this gift set guides and inspires girls to cherish this same sweet treasure.  

I really value role models in my life. My grandmother and my mom have been some of the greatest role models in my life, as well as the remarkable women of the Bible. The powerful stories of the women in the Bible reveal the godly character little ladies need to develop as they shine in this world for Jesus.
