“PURPOSE WAS THE KEY TO MY BREAKTHROUGH.”
Originally from a small town in Kentucky, nothing about Kirstin’s environment said, “God has a purpose and a plan for your life.” But despite being bullied at school, a tumultuous relationship with her father, and an eating disorder she managed to keep secret, Kirstin Leigh still had big dreams.
Singing and acting kept her grounded and enabled her to move to New York City when she was only seventeen. It didn’t take long before she transitioned to Los Angeles. There she began recording songs with some of the best producers in the industry, graduated from one of the top acting schools, and became a member of SAG/AFTRA.
However, pain from her past led to a secret struggle with alcohol, and right when her career was about to take off, Kirstin ran away from everything she had ever dreamed of..
““I struggled silently, almost dying three times from alcohol poisoning. I knew I wasn’t going to make it much longer. One day, I made a promise to God that I would do whatever He said if He would just save me and use me. That promise—and a lot of work, enabled me to “change my story,” says Kirstin.
Whether it’s in a book, a message, a song, or on the screen, Kirstin Leigh hopes to connect with people—showing them by example that it is never too late to change their story, to heal, to dream, and Believe… the best is yet to come.
